Sound insulation solutions for motorboats and yachts
Cellofoam offers a comprehensive noise protection solution - for boats and yachts designed for fewer than 12 people including crew. From catamarans to motorboats, Cellofoam materials have proven their efficiency and effectiveness in noise protection. They are often used, for example, for the acoustic insulation of the engine and for insulating walls (bulkheads), ceilings and cabins. Because comfort on board begins with peace and quiet and ends with relaxed well-being.
Effective noise control in the engine compartment minimizes the sound directly at the source and protects other areas of the boat from excessive noise pollution.
However, the sound waves are not only transmitted directly from the engine into the boat’s interior, but also propagate via the boat’s structure. Hence a holistic noise-control solution is needed that effectively reduces both airborne and structure-borne noise, resulting in significantly quieter cabins, fewer vibrations and a more relaxed feeling on board.
